The loss of a loved one causes emotional, financial and social upheaval. Claims settlement is the moment of truth - when the company upholds the promise made to its clients.

It has been our endeavor to ensure that claims are settled promptly. Nothing gives us more satisfaction than handing over a cheque to the beneficiary of the deceased policyholder. In the process of continual improvement, there is an ongoing strive to better our norms.

The company follows standardized procedures in claim administration. Our settlement process much depends on the satisfactory production of documents and necessary requirements by the Claimant (a listing is always attached to the policy document).

As a policyholder, would recommend you to do the following:
  • Keep your policy in force by paying premiums regularly.
  • Check your beneficiary names are updated. In case the registered nominee has died during the term of the policy, please register another nominee. This is essential for a smooth claim settlement in case of unfortunate death.
  • Share your insurance details with your loved ones and brief them of our claim process.

Important
  • Notification of claim, submission of claim forms and / or claim documents to the ING Vysya Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (ING Life) does not construe as admission of liability.
  • Photocopies of FIR / Final Investigation Report / Panchnama / Policy Inquest Report / Post Mortem report to be attested by Police Inspector / Sub-Inspector of the relevant Police Station where the case was filed. All other Photocopies are to be attested by a Gazetted Officer.
  • ING LIFE reserves the right to waive or ask for additional information / documentation as may be required depending on the merit of each case.
