Where can claim notification be sent? Claim notification using the relevant form along with primary documents can be submitted to any of the ING Vysya Life Insurance Company branches or may be sent directly to the Head Office – Claims Department. Death Intimation is to be given by the Nominee / Appointee (in case nominee is a minor) / Assignee of the Policy. Who is eligible to receive the Claim proceeds? The claim proceeds will be paid to the beneficiary who generally is the nominee / assignee / appointee (in case of a minor) as mentioned by the Life Assured in the Application Form for Insurance or changed thereafter by the Life Assured and registered in ING LIFE records. What happens (a) if the Nominee dies before the Life Assured and the Life Assured has not nominated another nominee or (b) if the Nominee dies in the same event or before receiving the claim money? In such cases, a “Succession Certificate" will have to be submitted by the Claimant. A Succession Certificate is issued on application by a competent court on the question of the right to the property of the deceased. The Succession Certificate should specifically provide for disbursement of policy monies. If, however, the deceased has left a will, a probate of the will is required along with the copy of the will. You can register your grievance related to service with the Complaints Redressal Cell at our National Operation Office, located in Bangalore. Where can I represent in case of dispute in claim? You can approach the Insurance Ombudsmen designated by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority, in case any of your grievances are not redressed to your satisfaction by ING Life.
